Chatting to one of our customer’s Brian, Airbnb Superhost and owner of The Mitchell Bondi we’ve pulled together some helpful tips to make guest changeovers less stressful.
The Mitchell is a unique art-deco apartment block carefully restored, and divided into four home sized apartments tastefully designed to accommodate families, couples and friends.
- Make sure you have 3 sets of bed linen, towels and tea towels. This way you have one set in use, one set being cleaned, and one set spare – so you never get caught out.
- Outsource your laundry to Foam. Looking at your bookings you can schedule Foam to pick up your dirty linen on their website. Even with a washer and dryer in the Airbnb, it is still impossible to keep up with the amount of laundry it is quicker to get this done off-site.
- Prepare a checklist for your cleaner. Work with them to chronologically organise what needs to be completed, what products to use and to what standard.
- Less is best – Invest in artwork as opposed to décor. The less surfaces to clean and dust with each change over the better.
- A quick bed linen changeover – A lot of Airbnb’s use a three sheet hotel bed linen setup instead of using a doona cover. They place a flat sheet under the doona inner, and a flat sheet over the doona and tuck it all into the bed. This allows for a quicker change over instead of spending time getting the doona inside the cover and doing the buttons up.
